The recent fiasco over the late Moorthy affair in Malaysia is a dire warning to all non-Muslim Malaysians. Be extremely careful what you say or some idiotic Muslim can intepret what you said to mean you professed to be a Muslim and on your death this idiot could go and swear an affidavit saying you are one. Then the equally idiotic courts, especially the Syariah Court, can doom your family to abandoning their rights to give you a decent burial. As a non-Muslim Malaysian, you stand to be robbed right down to your grave.

  1. Not only the burial rights. When someone is already dead that is not such a big issue.The real issue arise when someone died as a Muslim but died intestate. The deceased muslim’s property will vest with the state and his or her beneficiaries will not get a single sen if they are not muslim. Hows that? That is really being screwed big time! Further also check your freaking details of yor MyKad. The religion might be stated wrongly and someone might die as a Muslim.

  4. Do read about Muslim law before judging on the religion. It states everything very clearly in the Quran. Unless the rest who is speaking on behalf for those who are againts Islam and muslims are very well read in the subject in question I suggest you to shut up. Talking trough your noses wont help the understanding of the issue.

  5. Me judging Islam? Not as much as I judge the stupidt acts of its practitioners. Just examine the basis of Moorthy’s case and tell me Moslems are not being stupid.

  6. Teetwoh, i think it’s because this malaysian muslims. You know being malay, they think they have all the right to do anything they please in Malaysia. I really hate those ‘holier than thou’ attitude of these people. Seeing the world in only white and black color. C’mon, have respect to the disease family. They don’t even know the guy for god sakes.
